Ana Sofía Batlle, a Dominican artist, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Arts from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2018. Since then, she has embarked on a journey of artistic exploration, relocating multiple times to refine her technique and draw inspiration from diverse environments. In her artwork, Ana Sofía Batlle boldly questions conventional beauty standards, particularly in relation to how Dominican women alter their bodies in the pursuit of these ideals.
