This summer, Catalysta brought together a group of friends and clients for a special evening of art, conversation, and craft in Miami. In partnership with Casa Diccia—the beloved coffee shop and exhibition space in Santo Domingo—we hosted a needlepointing workshop at La Cometa, surrounded by powerful contemporary works and creative energy.
The evening began with a private tour of La Cometa’s current exhibition. As guests moved through the space, they were introduced to the stories behind the pieces, sparking thoughtful conversations and setting an inspiring tone for what was to come. The art became more than a backdrop—it grounded the evening in shared curiosity and reflection.
Following the tour, we gathered around a long table for the workshop itself. Casa Diccia’s founder welcomed the group, inviting everyone to unwind, experiment, and engage in the meditative rhythm of stitching. Colorful threads, fabric hoops, and wine glasses filled the table as conversation flowed and everyone leaned into the quiet joy of making something by hand.
It was a warm, intimate night that celebrated both creative expression and community—exactly the kind of space we love to hold. We’re grateful to La Cometa for opening their gallery to us and to Casa Diccia for being a continued partner in showcasing and supporting Catalysta artists.
More gatherings like this to come.
